🌿 Welcome to Clean Up Stapleford

Clean Up Stapleford is a grassroots, community‑led movement dedicated to making our town cleaner, greener, and proud of every street. What began as one resident’s early‑morning effort has grown into a 30‑strong volunteer team (and growing!) committed to tackling litter, supporting neighbours, and restoring pride in Stapleford.

We believe everyone can make a difference — whether you pick once a week, once a month, or simply borrow a Loan Out Kit for a quick tidy on your walk.

💚 Our Mission

We’re here to make Stapleford a cleaner, safer, and more beautiful place to live by:

• Encouraging and organising local litter‑picking

• Working alongside Broxtowe Borough Council, Stapleford Town Council, and local services

• Raising awareness about littering and environmental responsibility

• Supporting residents in reporting fly‑tipping and street waste

• Empowering the community with free equipment, guidance, and simple reporting tools

🧹 What We Do

🧹 Community Litter Picking

• Our volunteers tackle hotspots across Stapleford — parks, streets, alleyways, estates, and green spaces.

There are zero expectations and no targets. Pick whenever it suits you. Solo picks are encouraged.

📍 Smart Coordination

• We use What3Words and mapped routes to plan and track litter picks.

• QR‑code reporting is currently available on Loan Out Kits only, allowing users to capture live location for accurate bag collection.

This system will be extended to all volunteers soon.

🧰 Loan Out Kits

• Perfect for quick clean‑ups.

• Kits include a litter picker, gloves, hi‑vis vest, and bags — all free.

• Find collection points on our Loan Out Kits page.

Staff will ask for your details only for kit recovery — never stored or used for anything else.

🤝 Council Partnership

We work closely with Broxtowe’s street teams, sharing updates, coordinating collections, and supporting wider environmental efforts.
